Meet the Chivas Brothers brands

Chivas Brothers is the Scotch whisky and gin business of Pernod Ricard. Our award winning portfolio features some of the world’s most revered brands.

The origins of our Blended Scotch Whisky date back to the 19th century – and it’s an art we’ve been perfecting ever since.

From humble beginnings, two brothers’ pioneering and generous spirits inspired the world’s first luxury whisky.

Strathisla, the spiritual home of Chivas, is the oldest working distillery in the Scottish Highlands dating back to 1786. Every Chivas Regal whisky has its own unique formula and selection of many aged whiskies, giving them their own distinct character, flavour and taste experience.

When you stay true to who you are. When you turn off society’s expectations. There’s no wrong way to live.

Ballantine’s was first created in 1827 by George Ballantine, a Scottish entrepreneur who followed his own way in life and who was driven to produce the ultimate blended whisky of the utmost quality. The brand remains true to Ballantine’s self-determination and his commitment to quality and is one of the most extensive and innovative ranges in blended Scotch whisky today.

George Ballantine, our founder, used to tell his sons to “get the blend right and you’ve got everything right.”

We’ve stayed true to this ever since.

The only scotch whisky collection that begins at 21 years of age.

In 1953, the young Princess Elizabeth ascended the throne. The occasion called for a tribute fit for a queen and so an exquisite blend was created. It was given the name Royal Salute – after the famous 21-gun-salute – and so began the story of a remarkable whisky.

To this day, Royal Salute has marked each significant event in the lives of the British Monarchy and is unique in having only ever used whiskies aged at least 21 years in its blends. It is this unique commitment to quality and tradition that has given rise to the informal motto, “We Begin Where Others End”.

The original Speyside single malt.

The remote and isolated Livet valley was ideal for illicit distillation. This is where our founder George Smith learned his craft and became the first legal distiller in the parish of Glenlivet in 1824.

To this day we continue George Smith’s vision to break traditions, set new standards and move things forward; selecting exceptional unique casks, finishes and liquids and delivering unique serves and cocktails to open up the world of single malt to all.

The world’s most awarded gin.

Beefeater, the only international premium gin still produced in the heart of London, and the world’s most awarded gin, is the embodiment of The Spirit of London. To this day, Beefeater gin is produced to James Borough’s original 1863 recipe, including the unique process of ‘steeping’ nine perfectly balanced botanicals for 24 hours.
